Situated between Templecombe and Stalbridge, this was the smallest station on the line. The single platform being only about 150 feet long. There was a goods siding leading to a milk dock at the northern end of the platform. The siding also had a small coal depot and cattle pens.

The small goods siding can be seen on the left of the line between the end of the platform and the distant road bridge.

The siding was controlled by a local ground frame. There was a level crossing at the Southern end of the platform, this being worked by hand.

The station was unique to the S&D in being the only main line station without a passing loop.
